On the last weekend of May, a trio consisting of soundmakers and musicians Theodor Kentros, Pietu Arvola, and Felix Alexander Lybeck will travel through Finland and perform in three different wooden houses in Helsinki, Tampere, and Pori. The idea for this tour was set in motion by our good friend Mitri Maarajärvi, who will also serve as the sound engineer for the shows. Such a pleasure!

Lauri Hyvärinen & Jukka Kääriäinen
Hailing from Helsinki, electric guitarists Lauri Hyvärinen & Jukka Kääriäinen are key figures in Finland’s improvised and experimental music scene. They frequently collaborate with internationally renowned improvisers and premiere contemporary works for electric guitar with their ensemble Sähkökitarakvartetti, constantly reimagining and exploring the sonic possibilities of the electric guitar.
Both Hyvärinen and Kääriäinen are experienced musicians in their own right, having immersed themselves into a wide range of improvised and experimental music forms. The two musicians have performed globally, collaborating with artists such as Seijiro Murayama, Angharad Davies, Axel Dörner, Harri Sjöström, Jone Takamäki, Beat Keller, Ilia Belorukov, Ben Bennett, Jack Wright and Clara de Asís. Additionally they have premiered compositions by Riikka Talvitie, Kalle Kalima, Hafdís Bjarnadóttir, Marja Ahti and Lau Nau, among others.
Their duo formation represents an uncompromising dedication to the electric guitar, improvisation, and experimental music.

Theodor Kentros (swe) is a composer and musician based in Stockholm, Sweden. Before his debut LP Trystero which was released through Moloton in 2024, he’s released a selection of solo tapes, a split LP with instrumental solo pieces together with Linus Hillborg and has been featured on various compilations and anthologies through labels such as XKatedral, Moloton and IRRLICHT. His upcoming record Against All Places is set to be released via IRRLICHT this fall. Kentros has also been an active member of Fylkingen – the legendary artist-run society for experimental music and art – for over a decade, co-runs the label XKatedral and runs his own tape label Kalkatraz Cassettes.
Pietu Arvola creates abstract electronic music. ”Arvola’s sound world fully reveals itself through a thick forest carpet of electronic layers, ghost sounds, humming, buzzing, scampering, and the wind in the trees.” – The Quietus
Some may know Felix Alexander Lybeck from the band Bad Sauna or his earlier solo project Kuuhullu. In January 2026, he released his first solo album (amatör) under his birth name, featuring his first songs in his mother tongue, Swedish. During the Trehaus tour Felix will perform mostly new material focusing on ongoing experiments with sound and compositions.
